AEW has a lot of plans in the pipeline, and they are just getting started in 2024. With AEW Worlds End in the rearview mirror, there are some big plans in motion.

Killswitch used to be Luchasaurus, and he is still doing Christian Cage’s bidding. He gave up a TNT Title shot for Cage to get his belt back from Adam Copeland at Worlds End. Their story is far from finished.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that AEW has an obvious plan to turn Killswitch babyface soon enough.

“It’s real obvious they are going to make Killswitch a big time babyface.”

We will have to see what AEW has planned for Christian Cage’s storyline. With Nick Wayne by his side, he still has a lot of pressure on the former Luchasaurus, and we still have no idea why he has that leverage, but he does. It wouldn’t be a big surprise to see Luchasaurus break out of those chains soon enough and become a babyface after all.

Christian Cage is one of the best heels in AEW, as he can seldom get through a promo without mentioning someone’s dead parent. Killswitch changed his name for Christian Cage, but you can never say never about a big surprise moment coming up soon enough.

Killswitch could turn on Christian Cage and make a big mark for himself in AEW. At this time, they are still a heel stable, but fans may be ready for that turn already.
