Catch 22, comprised of TJP and Francesco Akira, achieved a significant victory at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18, capturing the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships by defeating the formidable Bullet Club War Dogs, Drilla Moloney, and Clark Connors.

Before the match commenced, TJP and Akira unveiled their new personas, with Akira adorning body paint and TJP embracing the identity of The Aswang. This rebranding followed their loss in a coffin match to the Bullet Club War Dogs on December 22 at NJPW Road to Tokyo Dome.

The decisive moment in the match occurred when The Aswang (TJP) unleashed a mist attack on Moloney, followed by a Straight Jacket DDT, allowing Catch 22 to secure the victory with a 2×2 maneuver.

This marks the third reign as IWGP Tag Team Champions for Catch 22, while the Bullet Club War Dogs held the titles for an impressive 184 days, successfully defending them three times after winning the titles at NJPW STRONG Independence Day.
