Giulia Disbands Donna Del Mondo at STARDOM Event Amid WWE Rumors

Giulia is one of the best female in-ring competitors in the world right now, and has seen a major rise in her stock over the past couple of years, especially in STARDOM. Shockingly enough, Giulia disbanded her Donna Del Mondo faction during the latest STARDOM event amid rumors of her going to WWE.

In case you didn’t know, WWE has wanted to sign top Japanese star Giulia for years. It was reported that Giulia is expected to pay visit to the WWE Performance Center. This sparked a lot of interest and fans were certainly intrigued to see what will happen next.

However, she has yet to visit the Performance Center. Even then, WWE has been pursuing Giulia for long time. At STARDOM Ittenyon Stardom Gate 2024 on January 4, Giulia announced the disbandment of Donna del Mondo.

In the ring, Thekla, Mai Sakurai, and Maika joined Giulia to express gratitude, and she thanked fans for their support, mentioning every member who had been part of the faction. Giulia closed the announcement with a farewell, saying, “Arrivederci, see you later.”

Giulia has not informed those in Japan whether she intends to stay with NJPW or leave for WWE. Her career in NJPW began in 2020, and she currently holds the NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship as well as the Artist of Stardom Championship alongside Mai Sakurai and Thekla. Nonetheless, only time will tell whether Giulia will actually make her way to WWE this year.
