Dragon Lee, who signed with WWE last year and made significant impact in NXT, was scheduled to participate in NXT New Year’s Evil. Unfortunately, visa issues have forced him to miss the event, leaving fans disappointed.
Lee was slated to team up with the Latino World Order for a thrilling six-man tag team match against No Quarter Catch Crew (Drew Gulak, Myles Borne, and Damon Kemp) at New Year’s Evil. However, Lee had to break the news to fans that he wouldn’t be able to make it to the show due to his visa predicament. Currently, he’s stuck in Mexico and unable to leave the country.
The good news is that Dragon Lee’s new work visa for WWE in the United States has been approved without any major issues, according to PWInsider. The delay in his return to the U.S. was attributed to the holiday season, causing the visa not to arrive in time for NXT New Year’s Evil. However, there’s optimism that he will be back in the States relatively soon, and there’s even speculation that he could return as early as Friday Night SmackDown.
