Ric Flair has seen a lot in the pro wrestling world. His time in the spotlight continues, as the landscape is still evolving. Naturally, the Nature Boy has a lot to say about things.

Despite his departure from WWE, Ric Flair’s presence in AEW has generated considerable attention and anticipation. He has made a lot of noise in the pro wrestling world for years, and this is no different.

While appearing on Outkick with Charly Arnoldt, Ric Flair was asked for his thoughts on the current state of wrestling. He was very honest about how much money people are making, and they’re taking care of things on the backend as well.

“I like the fact that the kids make a lot of money. That’s the most important thing. Unlike myself, they are more conscious because of the people around them and the culture being different of taking care of their money, paying taxes on time, stuff like that. It’s really corporate now, and I dressed the part, but I could never think like that. I don’t have the patience. AEW, very professional, it’s an easier pace. There are politics everywhere in the world, but the WWE right now is very political,” he stated.

When he was asked why he thinks WWE is political, Flair replied to say that he doesn’t know. It could stem from the fight for control, because everyone wants to run the company.

“I don’t know. The fight for control. Everybody wants to run WWE. I liked the way Vince ran it. For better or worse, everybody knew where they stood more than they do now. Social media is out of control with stories. You don’t even know what’s real anymore.”

Ric Flair has been through the pro wrestling world for decades, and he has two WWE Hall of Fame rings to prove it. He can see how things have progressed, but that doesn’t mean he’s a huge fan of how the world is progressing.

We will have to see how WWE evolves as well. They had a huge 2023, full of big business, and 2024 looks to be a successful endeavor already.
