Andrade El Idolo’s AEW contract was also topic of discussion since it was going to expire in 2024. Tony Khan then confirmed Idolo would not be re-signing with AEW, thus making him a free agent. Now, Idolo’s status for the Day 1 edition of Monday Night RAW has been revealed.

Andrade El Idolo’s return to CMLL also ended up sparking speculation when it came to his pro wrestling future. Even WWE anticipated Idolo’s return to the company once his AEW contract ended.

At AEW Worlds End, Andrade El Idolo lost to Miro in singles match, which ended up becoming his final match in the company. Tony Khan then put over Andrade El Idolo in the post-event press conference.

According to PWInsider, it was reported that there is expectation internally in WWE that Andrade El Idolo could return as soon as tonight’s Day 1 edition of Monday Night RAW, now that he isn’t in WWE anymore.

There’s an expectation internally that Andrade will be back with WWE as soon as Monday.  He was advertised for at least one GCW event for 2024 and no longer is.

Triple H also remained coy when it came to reports of WWE bringing back a former Champion on the Day 1 edition of Monday Night RAW. It remains to be seen whether Andrade El Idolo will make his way to WWE tonight, as fans would love to see that happen.
