WWE fans didn’t see Mercedes Mone return to the company as Sasha Banks yet. Now, as we get closer to 2024, the likelihood of that happening may hit a roadblock, because AEW is still in the running to acquire her services.

It was previously noted that WWE and Mercedes Mone’s talks somewhat fell apart. Money is an issue there, because The Boss wants more of it. It appears that an AEW debut is not off the table.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that there is still talk about her going to AEW. That idea is not dead, so we’ll have to see what 2024 has in store.

“There certainly is a lot of talk of her in AEW. We will see what happens.”

Mercedes Mone did not debut for AEW at Worlds End, as some speculated that she would. Mone is still a free agent from everything we can tell. She is also preparing for what is next for her.

Mercedes Mone historically keeps her business talks close to the vest. This also helps her command a much higher offer, and that may just bring her a ton of money in 2024.
