WWE has seen some tremendous legends travel through the company over the years, but only one is truly One Of A Kind. RVD blazed a path behind him, full of amazing moves, and awestruck fans. Sadly, even RVD isn’t indestructible.

RVS has a One Of A Kind podcast, where he can share his own stories from his years in the pro wrestling business. A recent episode saw him remember a rather painful account.

RVD revealed that he broke his ankle while he was in ECW, and that was a terrible feeling. That humbled him, as he had to drop the ECW Television Title as well. Prior to that, the Whole F’n Show did not have any thought in his head that he might be prone to injury.

“There was the time when I broke my ankle and I had to give up the Television Championship. I really thought that I was indestructible before that, so that did a lot to my ego and humbled me.”

RVD suffered a few notable injuries in his career, like an ACL tear. From 2001 to 2005, he dealt with that issue. He properly stated that it “sucked” as well.

“Then when I tore my ACL in WWE, that sucked. It then hurt for four years, and it just [kept] getting progressively worse and worse. It killed me every single night. People don’t know that, when they’re watching my matches from 2001 to 2005, pretty much every night my knee was killing me, and I didn’t want anybody to know.”

RVD is still able to go in the ring, and the only thing stopping him is that he’s not getting booked. WWE may have also pulled RVD from possible WrestleMania spot after his AEW appearances. We can only hope that RVD is seen in Philly for Mania.

We will have to see what is next for RVD. He is still in great shape, and able to wrestle. Only time will tell where we see him compete again.
