WWE has a lot of intriguing stories in the pipeline as they close out 2023. Now, we have a spoiler on what is to come for a particular group on the blue brand.

The LWO is at crossroads in WWE right now. It appears that the December 22nd episode of WWE SmackDown will also include a big angle that will change the shape of the faction.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that, while it isn’t set in stone, it appears that Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo are going to join the LWO situation this week on SmackDown. They are going to join Santos Escobar in his quest against Rey Mysterio’s faction.

Garza & Carrillo officially joined Escobar’s group in tapings for the 12/22 Smackdown show. They hopped the rail in masks during the U.S. title contenders tournament with Escobar vs. Lashley. They attacked Ford & Dawkins and Lashley was distracted and rolled up from behind. The idea is to feud with Mysterio & Carlito and Wilde & Del Toro. We’ve heard nothing official, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see a woman in the group just because of Vega in the other group. B-Fab has been teased for Lashley’s group and based on this, they may work with Lashley’s group first until Rey can return to action

WWE had Santos Escobar’s heel turn in the works for quite some time. Escobar continued to pursue heat over this injury, which was an effective heel turn.

Rey Mysterio will be out for a number of weeks to sell that beat-down which was part of Escobar’s heel turn, but he will be back to continue things. Mysterio was also dealing with that knee injury for months prior to this angle.

We will have to see who gains ownership of the LWO. It stands to reason that WWE would want to keep them a babyface faction, considering how much merchandise they have moved. That being said, anything can happen in this explosive storyline.
