Kenny Omega, widely regarded as one of the top professional wrestlers in the world today, has not only made a mark in pro wrestling but is a well-known figure in the world of Anime and video games now. That said, Don Callis decided to break character to make a touching post about Kenny Omega.

Kenny Omega recently signed a multi-year deal with AEW and was ready to go after the AEW World Tag Team Championships with Chris Jericho. Unfortunately, that will no longer happen now for a sad reason.

Kenny Omega shared that he is out of action and did not provide details about the nature of his injury. Omega mentioned that his doctors identified the issue at the right time. It was then reported that has been sick from diverticulitis.

Don Callis and Kenny Omega are currently bitter enemies on AEW television after Callis betrayed Omega earlier this year. However, that doesn’t mean they aren’t close in real life. As such, Callis took to his Instagram and uploaded a touching video montage of Kenny Omega with an emotional song, as he ended up breaking character to send love after Omega’s illness.

Kenny Omega is already making progress after his illness but it will be a long time until he is fit to make his in-ring return. It’s not known what Tony Khan will do about the Golden Jets vs Ricky Starks and Big Bill at Worlds End. The event will take place on December 30th, so it remains to be seen whether Chris Jericho will find a replacement for Kenny Omega or if the match will end up getting scrapped.

What’s your view on this touching tribute by Don Callis? Do you think AEW will suffer in Kenny Omega’s absence? Let us know in the comments!
