MJF is truly one of the best pro wrestlers on the planet right now for good reason. Many also believe he could be heading to WWE once his AEW contract expires. In fact, MJF is confident WWE won’t put a leash on his potential.

The Salt of the Earth previously revealed that he will go where the money is after his current AEW contract ends in 2023. MJF even said that there will be a bidding war for him in 2024.

MJF turned his current AEW contract situation into a television storyline. The AEW World Champion has never failed to make several WWE references, including references to Nick Khan, Triple H and Vince McMahon.

Many believe MJF would not be a good fit for WWE. While speaking to Jimmy Traina on the SI Media podcast, MJF was asked if he would be able to be himself, should he go to WWE. MJF made it clear that he was confident WWE won’t put a leash on his potential.

I just don’t know how the f*ck you put a leash on me and I swear to God, that’s my honest opinion. I’m sorry I’ve now cursed twice… I don’t think anybody can hold me back from being the monster I am. I think my career trajectory in any company is going to be exactly the same. Do I think in some aspects, AEW fits me like a glove more so than anywhere else? Yeah, I do. Could an argument be made the other way around? Yeah, I’m sure. These are all things I have to think about. What I do know, whatever company I pick, it will be because it feels right and it means the most to me.

MJF also made it clear he hasn’t signed a new contract with AEW even now. Cody Rhodes also believes MJF will join WWE somewhere down the line. Only time will tell what will become of MJF in the end.

What is your opinion on what MJF said? Do you feel he will leave AEW to join WWE? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
