AJ Styles’ WWE Ring Return Looms on the Horizon

AJ Styles is one of the mainstay stars in WWE. Coming from an established background in various pro wrestling circuits, AJ Styles forged a unique identity when it came to his WWE career. While he has been relatively absent since his SmackDown appearance back in September, it appears that he is going to be back on WWE programming.

As per a report from PWInsider’s Mike Johnson, who revealed it on his Hotline show, Styles’ return to WWE programming is imminent. It could be any week now, but this is up to the creative team at WWE, who are figuring out the plans for him. Johnson also noted that Styles was initially supposed to be back three weeks ago, though there is no information as to why that didn’t happen.

Styles’ last appearance entailed a match against Finn Balor back in September. He was written off TV after he was attacked by the Bloodline. Interestingly, Styles was even locally advertised for last week’s SmackDown episode, but this didn’t happen for reasons which remain undisclosed.

The return of AJ Styles will happen at a pretty significant time for WWE. Big names such as CM Punk and Randy Orton have already made big splash. With Styles back in the game, we can expect some of the most exciting match-ups that have taken place in recent WWE history.
