LA Knight made a significant impression after his debut at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day on February 14th, 2021. Knight lost to Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel, but he has been retaining his momentum as much as possible since then. He also made light of CM Punk’s return in a fiery promo directed towards Roman Reigns during a WWE live event.
The Second City Saint made his earth-shattering return to WWE following the WarGames match at the Survivor Series Premium Live Event – to an incredible ovation. Fans were just in pure disbelief for the whole experience. Before him, even Randy Orton returned after more than a year for the WarGames match.
During the WWE live event in Peoria, LA Knight squared off against Grayson Waller in singles competition. Knight would then cut a promo directed towards Roman Reigns, while he made light of CM Punk and Randy Orton’s returns. Knight made it clear his goal is to defeat Roman Reigns for the title and he is laser-focused on that.
“Let me talk to you! Oh boy! There are a lot of things going on in the WWE lately. You got returns galore, people coming out of the woodwork from every which way. But the only thing that I’m thinking about is, NONE OF THAT! Why? It’s because what I’m looking at is… I’m looking at The Bloodline! Yeah! I’m looking at Roman Reigns! And I’ve got a laser-like focus on taking that WWE Championship.”
WWE also believes LA Knight has capped his popularity in the company and needs to develop a deeper connection with fans. Regardless, we’ll have to wait and see what’s next in store for LA Knight.
