WarGames closed out the show as WWE brought the final premium live event of the year at Chicago’s Allstate Arena. While there was talk about CM Punk’s possible return, we did know that Randy Orton was coming back, but the Second City Savior came back anyway. WWE was apparently ready, because Punk has new merchandise.
As Survivor Series in Chicago was coming to a close, WWE was wrapping up the event. The babyface team emerged victorious, thanks in part to the return of Randy Orton. However, their celebration was abruptly interrupted by the unexpected sound of a familiar song.
CM Punk made a surprise entrance at the Allstate Arena, declaring, “it’s Clobbering Time!” This monumental moment caught everyone off guard, and the Chicago fans erupted with resounding “CM PUNK” chants.
WWE wasted no time releasing new CM Punk merchandise. This new merchandise has the Survivor Series logo on it, and CM Punk’s graphics as well. We can only imagine that this merchandise is just the first of many more to come.
CM Punk seemed happy to be back in WWE, but he was also thrilled to be in Chicago. This return for Punk is a long time coming. We will have more on this story, and many more about CM Punk, here at Ringside News.
CM Punk departed WWE years ago and remained absent from pro wrestling for an extended period. Following his controversial run in AEW, which ultimately led to his release from Tony Khan’s company, he has now returned to WWE.
