AEW has several stars who are out of action for one reason or another. A couple of them have been out of action for a long time, and Marq Quen of Private Party is certainly on that list. Now, it seems that the party may be back in session soon enough.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that, “Things are looking up for an AEW talent who has been sidelined for a year.” Marq Quen has been out of action for far too long, but that is about to change.

The report noted that Marq Quen was backstage at a recent AEW event, and AEW is hopeful about his return. After all, he’s been out of action with a shoulder injury for quite some time.

The last time we saw Marq Quen of Private Party was last November in a loss to Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal. Unfortunately, he’s been out of action for nearly a full year, which led Isiah Kassidy to team with the likes of the Hardys and Ethan Page. Even then. Kassidy has only worked a couple of dozen matches during that period himself.

We’re told Kassidy was backstage at a recent AEW show, and AEW is hopeful that he could return sooner than later. Quen sustained a shoulder injury and had been in a sling for quite some time. It’s worth noting that even if cleared, we aren’t sure if any creative plans are in order. There have been situations like Thunder Rosa where talent have been ready and were just awaiting creative.

Isiah Kassidy has morphed himself into a moaning version of his former self as Zay. He is still with Matt Hardy, but things are a bit different now. It will be interesting to see where Marq Quen works into things, but his return is apparently on the way.
