The main match WWE has promoted for SmackDown tonight will see LA Knight take on Jimmy Uso.
Following Asuka’s heel turn in last week’s main event, tonight we will hear from the new and improved Damage CTRL with Asuka as the group’s newest member.
It should be interesting to see how things play out on tonight’s show
SmackDown kicks off with a recap video showing off Asuka turning heel and joining Damage CTRL last week.
We go live to see Damage CTRL making their entrance, we cut to the commentary desk where we see that WWE legend Road Dogg is on commentary for tonight. The crowd heavily boos as Bayley begins to speak. Bayley says her plan to get Asuka to join Damage CTRL has to be one of the greatest moments in WWE history. Bayley says the new and improved Damage CTRL is the strongest faction in WWE today. Bayley calls out Charlotte, Biana Belair and Shotzi as not being ready for Asuka. Asuka begins to speak in Japanese to Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane.
Dakota Kai says that Asuka said one person in the ring is not a part of Damage CTRL. Bayley looks stunned for a minute before Kai says that Asuka is not yet a member of Damage CTRL. Asuka accepts a Damage CTRL t-shirt as she is officially a part of the group now. Damage CTRL make a challenge to the women they defeated last weak to find a partner for a War Games match.
Shotzi’s music hits ans as her tank rolls out with nobody in it, Bayley turns around into a missile drop kick from Shotzi. Charlotte and Belair also run out to the ring to start a brawl but Damage CTRL is able to clear the ring as the group is made to look very strong with Asuka a part of the faction.

Backstage we see Belai, Charlotte and Shotzi talking. Belair commends Shotzi’s intensity but tells her they need to be strategic when taking on Damage CTRL. Belair says they need to figure out their partner for War Games. The three are approached by Nick Aldis who informs them that he needs to know who their partner is by the end of the night.
The Street Profits vs The Brawling Brutes vs Pretty Deadly
Our opening number one contender’s triple threat tag team match begins with Butch, Dawkins and Prince in the ring. Dawkins takes out Butch with a shoulder tackle and then Prince with a lariat. Dawkins tags Ford in who slams Butch in the corner. Kit Wilson is tagged in and Prince and Wilson hit double running splashes to Butch and Ford. Holland is tagged in and he hits a back drop to Ford and plants Wilson with a DDT.Butch and Holland go for ten beats of the Bodhran but the Street Profits break it up, naturally this means The Brawling Brutes hit Ford and Dawkins with the ten beats of the Bodhran.

Our opening match continues live with Holland hitting Ford and Prince with a double suplex. Butch gets tagged in and he clears the ring and hits a moonsault to take out Prince and Wilson outside the ring. Butch climbs up top and he hits a moonsault to take out everyone else in the match. Holland, Ford and Wilson are all tagged in at once, Wilson goes up top but is knocked down by Holland. Holland goes for a superplex but Prince makes the blind tag. Ford hits Holland with a frog splash and Prince hits a top rope leg drop, Prince makes the cover but Dawkins slides in the ring to break it up. Butch goes for a Brogue kick but accidentally hits Holland with it. Dawkins knocks Butch out of the ring and The Street Profits hit the revelation and we get the cover for three.

SmackDown returns live with Damage CTRL beating down Michin backstage, WWE officials arrive to break it up but it appears the Michin will not be in the War Games match.
Dragon Lee vs Axiom
The match begins with a handshake followed by the two luchadores exchanging lightning quick holds and counters. Dragon Lee is able to knock Axiom out of the ring and hits a big tope suicida. Dragon Lee hits a running drop kick in the corner and covers for a two count.
*Commercial break*
Back live with Axiom hitting a drop kick to knock Dragon Lee out of the ring. Axiom gets to the top rope and hits a moonsault to the outside. Dragon Lee goes up top but Axiom knocks him down and climbs up top as well. Dragon Lee is able to knock Axiom down to hang his feet on the ropes, Dragon Lee hits a stomp to the chest from off the top rope. Axiom hits a big drop kick and follows with an exploder suplex. Dragon Lee goes for a power bomb but Axiom counters in mid air to hit a code red, Axiom covers but Dragon Lee kicks out at two. Dragon Lee climbs up to and Axiom runs up to hit a Spanish fly (literally) and Axiom covers for two. Dragon Lee hits a power bomb. Dragon Lee then hits the running knee and the inverted DDT and covers for three.
Winner: Dragon Lee

SmackDown returns with the now heel Santos Escobar making his way out to the ring. Escobar is greeted with very loud boos from the crowd as he starts to speak. Escobar syas the famous expression “never meet your heroes” Escobar says like so many else out there, his hero was Rey Mysterio. Escobar says he idolized Mysterio andd wanted to be just like him. Escobar says he wished future generations would look at him like he looked at Mysterio. Escobar calls Mysterio a father figure and then says that Dominik was right, this gets exactly the reaction from the crowd you’d expect.
Escobar says he should have been US Champion, that Mysterio took the title and took over the LWO and sided with Carlito over him. Escobar says that he hopes all the pain Mysterio is feeling in that hospital bed remind him of what Escobar went through. Escobar then apologize…for not doing enough damage. Escobar then says he hopes the surgery went horribly and he never recovers.
Zelina Vega then walks out to the ring in tears. Escobar yells in Vega’s face and Vega slaps Escobar in the face and leaves the ring. Wilde and Del Toro walk out to console Vega. Escobar admonished Del Toro and Cruz saying that he made them and he’s the only reason they’re here. Wilde says Escobar is way out of line, Escobar then yells at Wilde and Del Toro to leave the ring and calls them dead weight. Wilde and Del Toro turn to exit the ring and Escobar attacks them from behind. Escobar takes them both out himself and grand Wilde for a phantom driver but Carlito runs out to make the save which causes Escobar to leave the ring and walk out through the crowd.

Grayson Waller vs Cameron Grimes
The match begins with Grimes hitting a power slam. Waller hits a big kick and then rolls through and hits a flat liner, Waller covers for two. Waller rolls to the apron and Grimes follows and goes for a kick but Waller dodges and Austin Theory takes the kick for Waller. Waller slams Grimes on the ring apron. Waller then then a power slam and covers for three.
Winner: Grayson Waller

SmackDown returns with Zelina Vega on the ground in pain as Damage CTRL walks away with another possible opponent eliminated.
We go live to Paul Heyman, Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso in the ring. Heyman says tonight there is an impromptu acknowledgment ceremony for Solo Sikoa. Paul Heyman says the surprise for tonight is the 16-time champion John Cena!….is not here tonight and he will never be in a WWE ring again, it’s all thanks to Solo Sikoa. Heyman says goodbye to John Cena.
Heyman keeps going in on John Cena when he is interrupted by LA Knight. LA Knight says the only reason Roman Reigns is champion is because of the Bloodline, and everyone knows that’s a problem. LA Knight says that he is the problem solver and he will make sure the Bloodline will no longer exist and tonight the first person up is Jimmy Uso.

Back live with Belair, Charlotte and Shotzi backstage. Belair tells Charlotte they are out of options and she needs to make that call. Charlotte leaves the area with her phone in hand.
LA Knight vs Jimmy Uso
The bell rings and Heyman takes a phone call and while on the phone Heyman leaves to the back with Sikoa, leaving Jimmy all alone. LA Knight hits a big shoulder tackle. LA Knight back drops Jimmy out of the ring and then LA Knight hits a sliding drop kick under the bottom rope. LA Knight bounces Jimmy’s head off the announce table several times before throwing Jimmy over the announce table to the barricade.

Our main event continues live with Jimmy hitting an enziguri. Jimmy goes for the Umaga splash but LA Knight dodges and plants Jimmy with a DDT. Jimmy dives off the top rope but LA Knight dodges. Jimmy goes for a super kick but LA Knight ducks under. Jimmy turns around right into a BFT. LA Knight then covers for three.
Winner: LA Knight
Immediately after the match Solo Sikoa walks out. Off this distraction Jimmy pushes LA Knight out of the ring and Sikoa grabs LA Knight and hits the Samoan Spike. Sikoa then clears the announce table and places LA Knight on the table. Coming out to make the save is Cody Rhodes who runs out to take out both Jimmy and Sikoa as LA Knight gets up from the table to join Cody as Sikoa and Jimmy leave the area.
Belair meets up with Charlotte, Charlotte says she called her but she doesn’t know if she can make it to the arena in time. Belair says that’s the best they have right now and the three of them walk together.

SmackDown returns with Bianca Belair making her way out to the ring with Shotzi and then Charlotte making their entrances. Charlotte grabs the mic and says that we are running out of time, and that they accept their challenge, Charlotte says there is a thin line between love and hate, and if they’re going to war there is only one person she wants on their side. Charlotte is interrupted by Damage CTRL. Bayley says she is calling Charlotte’s bluff and they wont be making it to War Games.
The crowd erupts as through the crowd and into the ring runs Becky Lynch. A brawl breaks out that sees Charlotte’s team clear the ring allowing Charlotte to hit a moonsault, at the same time Iyo Sky hits a moonsault to the outside. Charlotte and Sky stare each other down for a moment before the two start fighting, SmackDown goes off the air with the brawl still going on.
