WWE Higher Up Squashes Rumors About CM Punk Return Talks

CM Punk getting fired from AEW opened up a ton of rumors in the pro wrestling world. Although Impact Wrestling and the NWA are interested, they won’t be able to pay him his asking price. There are also a lot of stories popping up about his possible WWE return.

CM Punk posted cryptic message about people missing him. As Ringside News exclusively reported, WWE and CM Punk are not talking. WWE actually rejected CM Punk’s advances when he tried to send feelers out.

A report came out yesterday that really started a lot of churning in the rumor mill when it came to CM Punk’s name. The story is that CM Punk had a phone call scheduled with WWE board members, and this would be one of the final steps before the ball can get rolling for his return.

CM Punk even commented on this rumored story about his WWE return. He seemed to be having fun with the idea.

Ringside News reached out to confirm this story. We were told by someone who is high up the corporate chain that “there is no call with Punk and board members.” Additionally, we were told, “that is the fakest news in a world full of fake news.”

We were also told that, “any reports like that, and anyone saying anything like it, is one hundred percent clickbait.” It appears that CM Punk and WWE are no closer to signing any kind of deal.

CM Punk has not publicly announced his in-ring retirement yet. Only time will tell if and when he wrestles again. At this point, don’t put too much hope in CM Punk’s return to WWE, because there are still no ongoing talks between the two sides.
