Impact Wrestling is changing back to TNA, and a whole re-branding rollout is coming. Sadly, one former WWE Superstar won’t be around to see that change back to TNA.

Heath Slater was one of the many releases that WWE handed down during the pandemic. Many fans were shocked to see Heath’s name included in those cuts, but it didn’t take him long to make his way to Impact Wrestling.

After his Impact Wrestling debut, Heath suffered an injury that caused him to miss a ton of time. He had multiple injuries and needed a lot of recuperation. He was able to make his return to the company, but now his time is done.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that Heath Slater’s contract with Impact Wrestling has come to an end. He is now a free agent, and he’s taking indie bookings.

Fightful Select has learned that Heath Miller, who simply goes by Heath in IMPACT Wrestling, is now a free agent. Heath’s deal with IMPACT has expired, and is now accepting bookings.

Heath Slater was a member of the Nexus stable, which has no current members still competing in WWE. He also joined 3MB with Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre, both of whom became WWE Champions.

Heath was released from WWE in April 2020 and made a brief return in July 2020. The company proposed a full-time contract, which he reportedly declined, stating it was approximately half of his previous earnings. He later joined IMPACT Wrestling but suffered a significant injury shortly after, leading to an extension of his contract.

Only time will tell if he ever makes his return to WWE, but no contract situation is standing in his way from that happening. Keep checking back with us here at Ringside News for more on this story, and so many more.
