Kenny Omega, widely regarded as one of the top professional wrestlers in the world today, has expanded his horizons beyond the squared circle and into the realm of entertainment. The wrestling superstar is now part of the cast of Netflix’s anime-inspired series, “Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix.”
This Netflix original show is based on the popular 2013 video game “Far Cry: Blood Dragon” and introduces fans to an entirely new storyline. As previously reported, Cody Rhodes was also revealed to be part of the show’s cast.
Taking to Twitter, Kenny Omega confirmed his involvement in “Captain Laserhawk” and encouraged fans to check out the series, all while playfully referencing Cody Rhodes’ appearance in the show.
In his tweet, Omega said, “If the overwhelmingly positive reviews aren’t enough, take it from me that #CaptainLaserhawk on #Netflix is a heck of a fun ride! (Not an attempt at self-promotion whatsoever) You may see one of my old friends make an appearance too.”
Kenny Omega’s foray into animated TV is not entirely new, as he has previously been featured in video games and various animated projects. Nevertheless, fans are sure to be excited to see how he performs in his role in “Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix.” With positive reviews already pouring in, it’s bound to be an entertaining watch.
