WWE has a lot of belts floating around the company, and fans love the idea of a new title belt designs. One report picked up a lot of traction about new title belt designs, and this may disappoint some people who really wanted that story to be true.

A report is going around saying that WWE did a screen test for new title belts. The story going around says that during rehearsals for the October 16th episode of Monday Night Raw in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, potential new tag team title belt designs were examined through photos and videos. The alleged rehearsal involved unveiling the titles over 30 minutes, with the belts placed on a table in the center of the ring. A production assistant unveiled the belts by removing the cloth covering them.

The report went on to say that two distinct sets of new tag team title belts with significantly different designs were tested. One set had all-gold belts with black straps, while the other set showcased a design featuring gold and silver accents with one red and one blue strap. This story was picked up in a big way throughout the pro wrestling world, and we reached out to confirm it.

Ringside News was told by a tenured member of the WWE team that the story going around about screen testing those new title belts is “100% fake news.” This did not happen before RAW in Oklahoma City, or anywhere.

WWE and UFC just completed their big merger, and now a new Board of Directors is calling the shots as TKO. Although some fans may think that introducing new title belts to reflect this new era in WWE might make sense, that is apparently not in the pipeline, which contradicts that previous report.

WWE has a strong roster with champions who proudly hold those title belts. It appears that the company won’t need to update their championship renders any time soon, because those title belts are sticking around.
