Melina Claims She Received Death Threats ‘All The Time’ While Dating John Morrison

Melina was one of the mainstays of the WWE women’s division during the early to late 2000s and fans fondly remember her for all of her accomplishments. That said, she was also surrounded in controversy during her time in WWE and now Melina claimed that she received death threats all the time while dating John Morrison.

John Morrison and Melina first met during the auditions for the third season of WWE’s Tough Enough. They had an on-and-off relationship between 2003 and 2015 and haven’t been together ever since.

While speaking on Wrestling Shoot Interviews, the former Women’s Champion talked about her relationship with John Morrison. Melina claimed that she received death threats all the time while dating John Morrison.

“I think the only times like say things have gotten crazy is like when I dated John. I got a lot of death threats all the time. People wanted to kill me and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh! Like what if this is how I die? Like, somebody just… Because I’m dating you’ [laughs]. I was like, ‘Dude!’ And he’s like, ‘Nothing’s gonna happen to you.’ [Melina says]: ‘Oh no, some of these people are really serious.’ [Was it like jealous women who were sending death threats?] Yeah [laughs].”

Melina also revealed why she didn’t re-sign with WWE back in 2020. Melina also made it clear she couldn’t care less if she never returned to WWE. It remains to be seen what the future holds for the former WWE Superstar, as a return to her company seems unlikely now.
