Melina is undoubtedly one of the most important names in the history of the WWE women’s division, as she worked hard to establish herself as one of the better female wrestlers during her time in the company. Now it appears Melina couldn’t care less if she never comes back to WWE.

Melina played a vital role in the women’s division during the mid-2000s, when the era of Lita and Trish Stratus was coming to a close. Alongside talented performers such as Michelle McCool, Beth Phoenix, and Mickie James, Melina helped lead the division during a time when female wrestlers did not have the same opportunities as they do today.

While speaking to MuscleManMalcolm, Melina was asked about Trish Stratus returning to WWE and how she has been booked so far. While taking shots at Stratus, Melina made it clear that she couldn’t care less if she never comes back to WWE.

Only certain personality types or the company’s chosen people are allowed to do that because we could bring back a Jazz… and they are the ones who enhanced Trish’s career. So there are people who made Trish look good… There are people who enhanced her, who taught her that, who carried her through matches, they need their credit. If only we could bring them back, but we don’t wanna bring them back because we only have the people we choose.

Not so much I must say me, I don’t care if I don’t ever go back or not. I’m happy with any opportunity I get.

In January 2022, Melina made a surprise appearance in a WWE ring as the second entrant in the Women’s Royal Rumble match, much to the delight of the fans in attendance. It was her most recent appearance in the company to date. We’ll have to see if she ever does return to WWE somewhere down the line.

What’s your view on what Melina said? Do you want to see her return to Vince McMahon’s company? Let us know in the comments!
