Heels provided pro wrestling fans with a compelling tale from the indies. AJ Lee, who is now known as AJ Mendez, had a part on that show, but she didn’t take her own bumps in the ring.

AJ Mendez left WOW, and she made this clear with public address. It doesn’t seem that she’s harboring any ill-will, but her contract with the company ran out. That being said, she is not out of the public eye.

Heels featured CM Punk in a small role, and AJ Lee joined the cast for season two. That was a nice role for her to have, as she played Elle Dorado. That being said, they used certain camera tricks and production secrets to make sure the former Divas Champion remained unharmed.

Indie wrestler Jazmin Allure revealed on Instagram that she was actually taking bumps for AJ Lee during the filming of Heels. She posted a couple of photos while explaining how great of a time she had on set.

“Seeing double? Working with @heelsstarz and @theajmendez was so incredible! thank you @lukehawx504”

She also thanked Luke Hawx for his help on the production, because he was in charge of all the in-ring stunts. It seems that they were able to capture a lot of great moments, and memories, during that production.

Sadly, Heels was cancelled by Starz. That doesn’t mean the show is dead, because they could shop it around to new network, since a few stars are still under contract.

Only time will tell if Heels comes back, but they certainly put out two seasons of that show that they can be very proud of. You can check out Jazmin Allure’s post with AJ Mendez below.
