Tony Khan burst into the pro wrestling scene as he went from mega fan to pro wrestling company owner. Now, years removed from AEW’s honeymoon phase’s expiration, fans are seeing Tony Khan in a brand-new way. It seems that this may have been how WWE has always seen him.

Tony Khan recently used social media to make critical remarks, referring to WWE higher-ups, presumably Triple H and Shawn Michaels, as “bald assholes.” He took public dig at Shawn Michaels’ NXT booking and addressed Vince McMahon’s controversies. Furthermore, he criticized The Undertaker and John Cena for failing to attract 1 million viewers for the October 10th episode of NXT.

Tony Khan continued to rant on X, specifically targeting WWE while claiming that WWE fans are targeting him. In addition to accusing WWE of contract tampering, he mentioned that “WWE avatar accounts” directed negative comments towards his mother while she was recuperating from a life-threatening situation.

Ringside News reached out to get some more information about this Tony Khan story. A tenured member of the WWE internal team told us that, “no one here is yelling, ‘Tony has declared war on us!'”

At this point, the internal viewpoint about Tony Khan within WWE has not changed. We were told that WWE feels that Tony Khan is at war with WWE, and he has been for a long time, while ignoring other things that he should concern himself with. It is not the other way around as WWE has concentrated on different things like maintaining a booming business.

Ringside News was further told that, “we’ve felt Tony has been at war with WWE, instead of trying to build his own stars and his own brand, for a very long time. He’s viewed as a spoiled rich kid who just wants everyone’s attention with his temper tantrums.”

Tony Khan was not happy about how WWE loaded up NXT to crush AEW Dynamite’s Title Tuesday event. That Dynamite episode needed to make a Tuesday night move for one week, because of the MLB Playoffs. The Tuesday Night War that developed did not end in Tony Khan’s favor, as WWE brought in John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Paul Heyman, The Undertaker and more, just because they could.

At this point, people in AEW want Tony Khan to stay off social media. There is no procedure of approval process for his social media either.

We will keep a very close eye on this story, and everything else going on in the pro wrestling world, right here at Ringside News. You never know what will happen next, especially when Tony Khan has an active social media account.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
