WWE NXT is loading up their October 10th episode as AEW Dynamite is bringing Title Tuesday as direct competition. Now that the battle lines have been drawn, Tony Khan is not above firing shots.

Haus of Wrestling reportedly spoke with “a fired-up WWE source close to NXT.” It was reported that October 10th’s NXT vs AEW Dynamite showdown will be “a very clear example of how and why WWE is WWE, and why AEW has a long way to go.”

There appear to be ongoing tensions stemming from the well-known Wednesday Night War. Some believe that Tony Khan could have scheduled Dynamite on Thursdays, avoiding direct competition. However, with Triple H now firmly leading WWE creative and Shawn Michaels striving to excel, it’s suggested that Khan may have inadvertently provoked WWE at an inopportune moment. Notably, these developments coincide with Tony Khan’s 41st birthday, and it seems WWE NXT has no qualms about disrupting his celebration.

Tony Khan saw this report, and it didn’t take him very long at all to reply. The AEW head honcho fired back a post on X that dared NXT to bring it.

I have a message for them:

See you TONIGHT at a special Tuesday Night #AEWDynamite: Title Fight Tuesday At 8pm ET/7pm CT on @TBSNetwork At least the first 30 Minutes Are Commercial-Free, + a big overrun TONIGHT!

Tony Khan also included a graphic of a door with “bald *sshole” spray painted on it. We will have to see how things pan out, but Tony Khan is ready to go.

Keep checking back with us here at Ringside News for more on this story, and so much more. Tonight will be quite a night of pro wrestling, and we will have comprehensive coverage.
