The Undertaker is a bona fide legend and pop culture icon at this point. He doesn’t show up in WWE much anymore, due to his retirement status, but he has still made his mark with a few people on the roster. The fact that the Undertaker has been around the Performance Center recently also means he’s helping the company cultivate a new generation of talent however he can.

In light of heavy teases that The Undertaker will show up on NXT this week, Gigi Dolin remembered one interaction that she had with the Deadman. It seems that they had quite a meeting, and it certainly stuck with Dolin.

The upcoming episode of NXT will compete with AEW Dynamite’s Title Tuesday special and will include appearances by John Cena, Asuka, Paul Heyman, and Cody Rhodes.

During her appearance on Drinks with Johnny, Gigi Dolin discussed her past encounters with the WWE Hall of Famer. It seems that The Undertaker might think she’s a bit of an idiot after their interaction.

“So, Undertaker’s mine and my brother’s favorite wrestler of all-time, we love him to death. Even my dad’s favorite wrestler.”

“First time I get to meet The Undertaker, I was at a — where were we at? I think we were at a Special Olympics event, and we were up in a little suite area just by ourselves and I went up to meet this man and I just started bawling my eyes out, and I couldn’t get words out, and they’re just trying to explain to him that he’s my favorite wrestler, and I’m just sobbing.”

“Yeah, that was my first for The Undertaker and then the next day, he saw me at the Performance Center and tried to come up to me and create small talk with me, and then I continued to say something just dumb and awkward, and I’m pretty sure The Undertaker thinks I’m a big idiot now so, that’s my Undertaker story.”

“I don’t think so (I’ve not run into him since then). I think that was the last time I saw him. I’m pretty sure after I was crying, introducing myself to him, I’m pretty sure Shawn (Michaels) was in the corner laughing, because Shawn knew I was a huge fan of Undertaker, and I’m pretty sure he was laughing at me while I was sobbing and embarrassing myself, meeting The Undertaker.”

While WWE has not officially confirmed The Undertaker’s presence, the unmistakable “gong” sound featured in a promotional ad for the show strongly suggests his participation. Odds are, Gigi Dolin will be very excited to see whatever the Phenom does on the show this week.

The Undertaker has a ton of knowledge that he can impart on the Superstars of tomorrow, who are currently training at the WWE Performance Center. Only time will tell if he becomes a regular face around the company’s training facility, but they certainly love having him around.
