PW Insider noted that Carlito actually inked a new deal with WWE over the summer. Since he’s been signed since July, and plans were nixed for his return, then it was just a matter of waiting until it was time for him to make his return to the ring for WWE. That obviously came at Fastlane.

Carlito officially returned to WWE as a signed talent as the LWO’s mystery partner against The Street Profits and Bobby Lashley during tonight’s Fastlane PPV.

PWInsider.com first reported last night that Carlito was the plan for the mystery partner after an angle taking out the other LWO members from the six man tag team bout.  There were plans to debut him in July that were later dropped in favor of finding a better storyline entrance for him, which was tonight.

It was also noted that, “Carlito was signed over the summer by the company after the massive reaction he received at the Backlash PPV this past May in Puerto Rico, when he appeared as a surprise.”

It was also reported that Carlito will be a part of the SmackDown brand from this point on. He also already has his own new piece of WWE merchandise. Things are looking for Carlito, and it appears that he is going to hit the ground running.
