AEW has seen a ton of growth over the course of four years and it continues to make history with their upcoming events. AEW All In is certainly the company’s biggest event yet and it made history in many ways. That being said, Tony Khan clarified why he announced 81,035 as paid attendence for All In.

Tony khan previously announced 81,035 fans as the attendance for AEW All In at Wembley. However, it was revealed that AEW tacked on 10k fans in the attendance record, as it turned out the official numbers were inflated.

Dave Meltzer recently took to Twitter and wondered why AEW made the decision to announce paid attendance instead of total. This prompted a responsee from Tony Khan, who clarified his question. Khan stated that he announced 81,035 as paid attendence for All In as that number is the all-time ticket sales record, while WCW North Korea shows hold the tickets distributed record.

The reason I announced the actual paid attendance 81,035 tickets sold, instead of saying over 85,000 tix distributed, is because our 81,035 sold at #AEWAllIn @WembleyStadium in London is the all-time ticket sales record, whereas WCW North Korea shows hold tix distributed record.
