The Anoa’i Family is famous for producing some of the greatest pro wrestlers who ever laced up their boots. Now, it appears another member of the family is just waiting in the wings for their opportunity in the Bloodline.

Jacob Fatu, is under MLW contract with the promotion until 2025, recently had a conversation with MuscleManMalcolm. During the discussion, he touched on the potential of eventually working with both AEW and WWE.

Fatu started off by expressing his appreciation for his current tenure, as it has provided him the chance to showcase his skills despite facing rejection from the two major wrestling companies in North America.

“Listen, when it was WWE, AEW was almost there… I remember they told me I wouldn’t have what it takes in an email.

“But it’s all good, I’m just talking sh*t right now. But MLW gave me that platform, Court Bauer did, man.

“MSL, Low Ki was there, MVP was there at that time. I really needed them. They gave me that platform, and they helped me build — bro, they were giving me dope matches.”

“Not only that, they believed in me. When nobody else wanted to take a chance, MLW did, Court Bauer did.”

“To be on WWE, we gotta think about the history. All my family’s been there. If I ever have the chance to go there, absolutely, I would love to go there.

“But mind you, it’s more than just that. I got seven kids. I’m responsible for seven mouths, and eight — I’m responsible for eight people living and breathing, my wife and seven kids.

“This isn’t because ‘Oh, Fatu,’ no, I really function with everybody. You ain’t heard one person say one thing bad about me backstage with the boys because I don’t get down like that.”

Despite having connections with WWE due to family ties, Jacob Fatu also disclosed his admiration for AEW and mentioned that he has friends within the company. One of his friends is former TNT Champion Powerhouse Hobbs.

“I love, I watch AEW. I got my boy Will Hobbs over there. Shout out to Will Hobbs, bro. Not only that, but to see the other talent that I have been on the road with, for them to experience AEW, it feels good to me because I remember being at that age not having a platform.”

“Any little thing I did, if it felt big to me, I would embrace it. So I’m happy for the boys, I’m happy everybody’s getting money, I’m happy everybody’s tapping in.”

Jacob Fatu emphasized the significance of maintaining control over his schedule, acknowledging the challenges of achieving this in WWE. However, he did express a willingness to explore opportunities outside WWE, highlighting the achievements of other family members like Trinity in IMPACT and Lance Anoa’i in NJPW.

“But being in WWE, man, my father, my uncle, look, my cousins are there. So absolutely, if I had the chance, I would go.”

“But if it don’t work out, it don’t work out. Like my sis, Trin. Shout out to Trin, she’s over there in IMPACT. Lance is in Japan, Juicy’s always out there in AAA.”

“It’s about just living life too. Living life, and with me having as many kids as I have, I kind of would like to be somewhere to where I can control my schedule.”

“But I just leave it in God’s hands. My wife told me the same thing with (what) Tim Tebow did, ‘Just pray on it,’ dog. Just pray on it.”

Only time will tell if Jacob Fatu finds his way to WWE. Obviously, he has the family connections to make a conversation happen. He is also under contract with MLW, and an ongoing antitrust lawsuit against WWE might make sure that Vince McMahon is incredibly careful whenever they’re thinking about talking to Jacob Fatu at this point.
