Details surrounding the scrapped creative plans for The Judgment Day on this week’s RAW, which aired on September 18, have emerged.

As has become customary, the faction played a significant role in the evening’s events, particularly in their attempt to persuade Jey Uso to join their ranks in the closing segment of the show.

However, it was the opening match that carried a surprise twist. Dominik Mysterio, usually accompanied by Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, faced off against Cody Rhodes without his usual backup. Instead, WWE Undisputed Tag Champions Damian Priest and Finn Balor were at his side for the brief contest.

Fightful Select reports that originally, ‘Dirty’ Dom was intended to have support from outside the faction, with recent ally JD McDonagh scheduled to accompany him to the ring for the match against Cody. However, this plan did not materialize, and McDonagh was conspicuously absent from the entire show.

While the exact reason for this decision remains unknown, it appears that there were additional changes made on Monday night, including switch in Becky Lynch’s planned opponent, although details about this alteration are not provided.

These last-minute adjustments highlight the fluid and dynamic nature of WWE’s creative process and how it can lead to unexpected developments on live television.
