AJ Styles might be one of the best pro wrestlers in the world, but he is getting older and wiser with age. Styles has a tendency to change things up in his promos and backstage segments, as he has been using online terms that are normally associated with the younger generations. Now it appears that he educated a fan who mocked him for using ‘young people language.’

After appearing in the 2016 Royal Rumble, AJ Styles competed in several high-profile feuds against stars such as Randy Orton, John Cena and many others. In seven years, he has accomplished a lot in the company and is a surefire future WWE Hall of Famer.

AJ Styles is getting older and he doesn’t always have to understand what the younger generation has to say. A fan took to Twitter and uploaded videos of AJ Styles using the word ‘clout’ and ‘cap’ and mocked him for using ‘young people language.’ Styles decided to educate the fan and explained how clout is a very old word dating back to the 1860s.

Clout……The slang appears early as the 1860s for “political influence,” apparently based on a centuries-old sense of clout meaning “punch” or “force.” A person with clout can get things done on Capitol Hill or Wall Street.
