LA Knight is lighting up the WWE roster right now, and he’s set for a match against The Miz at Payback. That match could put him in the right direction to ascend to the top of the roster, but he could have started that process years ago.

Fans are buying up LA Knight merchandise in big numbers now, but that WWE money is not guaranteed. He hit his stride, but years ago, he was still going with a ton of momentum in TNA, and they had a lot of money on the table.

While speak with Interstate 70 Sports Media, LA Knight explained why he rejected WWE’s offer in 2016. After all, he was still doing his thing in Impact Wrestling as Eli Drake, and making a nice paycheck in the process.

“Then I had an opportunity to just come back to WWE starting back in 2016, but the pay would have been a cut from what I was making, and I had never made the kind of money that Impact was paying me at the time.

“So I was like, ‘Well, let me at least make this for a couple more years and then we’ll entertain the idea’

LA Knight has fans waiting to yell “YEAH” now as he says “LEMME TALK TO YA!” That pop is certain at this point, and only time will tell if WWE keeps putting the microphone in his hands, and how often that happens.

WWE is a great place for Superstars to thrive, and LA Knight took off in a big way. Everything happens for a reason, and those days on the road only added to his character, which fans can see in his drive to achieve greatness to this day.
