AEW sent out a post to let everyone know that CM Punk is officially gone from AEW. He will not be back this time.

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has terminated the wrestler and employment agreements between Phillip Brooks (CM Punk) and AEW with cause, effective immediately. The termination was confirmed today by Tony Khan, CEO, General Manager and Head of Creative of AEW.”

“The termination follows a weeklong internal investigation of an incident occurring back stage at AEW — All In London on Sunday, August 27. Following the investigation, the AEW Discipline Committee met and later convened with outside legal counsel before making a unanimous recommendation to Khan that CM Punk be terminated with cause.

Punk threatened to quit, but he wrestled that “Real” World Title match in Wembley Stadium anyway. After he won that match, Tony Khan suspended CM Punk and also Jack Perry, something that Punk was informed of through his attorney.

Tony Khan was almost victim of this situation as well, and things were not pretty at all. CM Punk also wanted to fight Miro in the middle of everything, but then that story was finally cleared up.

AEW is gearing up for All Out. It appears that they will have a future without the Second City Savior.

We previously reported that neurtal source, who is not a wrestler, said that CM Punk sucker punched Jack Perry. That is not a good look, but luckily, the whole messy ordeal was also caught on camera. We will have to see if that footage is ever released, but apparently Tony Khan came to a resolution after that investigation.
