WWE is bringing the go-home episode of SmackDown before Payback, and fans are in for a treat. This will include a few big moments as WWE sets the stage for their next premium live event, and it will also see John Cena’s return to television.

WWE might see an injured Superstar return to television this week on SmackDown. That could be a real boost for the tag team division, because that injured Superstar is Elton Prince of Pretty Deadly.

BWE noted on X that WWE has a “Big night ahead” for SmackDown this week. They have a lot of things to take care of before Payback on Saturday, and the company is also going to see John Cena’s return.

WWE fans should be excited about John Cena’s WWE return. He will reportedly be around for more than one pay-per-view event as well.

Jimmy Uso will also return to television this week for SmackDown. He was actually at SmackDown last week, but his segment was moved, because the focus of the show needed to be on Bray Wyatt and Terry Funk.

They also announced during the show that Rey Mysterio & Santos Escobar vs Austin Theory & Grayson Waller will go down next week as well. That tag team match should give Rey Mysterio and Austin Theory a chance to collide ahead of Payback as well.
