Former WWE Superstar RVD has shed light on a potential cancellation of his planned appearance during WWE’s WrestleMania 40 weekend.

The former wrestler discussed the situation during the latest episode of his “1 of a Kind” podcast, where he hinted that the cancellation might be tied to his recent appearances for AEW.

RVD indicated that his potential WWE appearance was called into question following his participation in AEW.

“Maybe I’d show you if I was doing a WWE tour WrestleMania weekend, but I have good reason to believe that might be canceled because of a recent appearance I might have done, with permission, for a different company.”

The wrestling veteran refrained from disclosing further details, citing his reluctance to discuss the matter in depth at the moment.

RVD’s appearances for AEW included a match against Jack Perry. However, the implications of his appearances for the rival promotion seem to have repercussions on his scheduled involvement with WWE’s WrestleMania 40 festivities.
