MJF’s Former Partner Won’t Rule Out Joining Him In AEW

MJF made an impression with everyone he’s ever worked with throughout his career. There is a chance that he could reunite with a former partner in AEW, but right now he seems to be preoccupied with Adam Cole.

Richard Holliday is currently exploring free agency, and happens to be MJF’s former tag team partner. He has shared his thoughts on the potential of signing with AEW and reuniting with the reigning World Champion.

MJF is arguably one of the best wrestlers to emerge from AEW’s homegrown talent pool in Jacksonville. Prior to his rise in AEW, Maxwell Jacob Friedman enjoyed a successful stint on the independent circuit and also made a name for himself at MLW. He was actually only able to wrestle for AEW because it was only in his MLW contract that he couldn’t wrestle for Impact and WWE, because AEW wasn’t a thing when he inked the deal. New MLW contracts have since added AEW to that list.

During his tenure at MLW, MJF was part of a tag team alongside Richard Holliday, who is now a free agent. They were known as The Dynasty, but the team came to an end when MJF received an offer from AEW in 2019.

Richard Holliday recently discussed the speculation surrounding a potential contract with All Elite Wrestling now that he’s a free agent. He also hinted at the possibility of reuniting with the AEW World Champion.

While speaking on the Haus of Wrestling podcast, Holliday revealed that he maintains communication with MJF and suggested that when it comes to a reunion, one should “never say never.”

“I think speculation is one of the [most fun] things about wrestling. I’m just happy that fans… want to see me in a certain light, and that’s ultimately all I can ask for.”

MJF just pulled down the ROH Tag Team Titles with Adam Cole during the AEW All In London Zero-Hour show. Only time will tell what’s next for them, but adding MJF’s old friend Richard Holliday to the mix could really shake things up.
