You never know who will show up on NXT from week to week. The company wants to place a revived focus on the brand, because television rights deals are coming up, and they want viewership numbers to be high. They are certainly doing a good job at that.

This week’s NXT featured the Creed Brothers getting their jobs back. That isn’t all, because the Street Profits also showed up unannounced.

The Street Profits, who were once WWE NXT Tag Team Champions, Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford, made their inaugural appearance on Monday Night Raw as WWE NXT Champions in 2019. Since then, they have gone on to claim championship titles on both Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown.

On August 29, Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford made their return to NXT. While backstage, they had a casual encounter with Carmelo Hayes before diverting their attention to WWE NXT Tag Team Champions Tony D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo. Although their interaction seemed nonchalant, The Profits did mention that if they ever return to NXT in the future, they might take a look at how the champions are faring.

We will have to see what’s next for the Street Profits, as they enjoy a new run with Bobby Lashley on the main roster. It appears that they’re not too big for NXT, because they showed up this week for a nice surprise.
