WWE has a full show for this week’s NXT. That being said, it seems that one match won’t be going on as they advertised. As you all know, the card is always subject to change in pro wrestling.

The ongoing rivalry between Dabba-Kato and Tyler Bate might have to wait until later. Although their match was promoted to go down this week, the company is no longer promoting the contest.

WWE had initially announced a match between Kato and Bate for tomorrow’s live NXT show, but the match announcement has been removed. It remains uncertain whether the two will still face off in this week’s episode.

Dabba-Kato made his return to television in February during NXT Vengeance Day when he attacked Apollo Crews during Crews’ 2 of 3 Falls match against current NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes. Subsequently, Kato defeated his former associate Crews in mid-March and embarked on a feud with Axiom and Scrypts. He emerged victorious against Axiom on the May 23 show but suffered a loss to Scrypts on June 6. The June 13 NXT episode saw Kato in a losing effort in a Handicap Match.

WWE initiated a series of new vignettes heralding Kato’s return on the August 15 show, during which the former pro football player declared his imminent comeback to NXT, vowing to establish his own legacy on the brand. Kato made his actual return on that same episode, launching an assault on Bate during Bate’s match with Joe Coffey, which Bate won via disqualification. Post-match, Kato dismantled Bate and asserted his dominance.

Kato continued his feud with Bate at NXT Heatwave last Tuesday by attacking Bate at ringside while Bate was supporting former NXT Heritage Cup Champion Nathan Frazer. Bate’s subsequent removal by medics led to Frazer losing the Cup to Noam Dar after interference by Dar’s Meta-Four stablemates. We will have complete coverage of everything right here at Ringside News.
