Bray Wyatt passed away from a heart attack this week, and SmackDown was a unique episode. They also paid tribute to Terry Funk during that show, so they had a lot to cover. That caused the company to shift some things around.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that WWE will move their planned creative angles to SmackDown next week. They were able to do some things this week, but the focus was on Bray Wyatt and Terry Funk, and that’s where it needed to be.

“Many of the storyline advancement plans that were in order for last night’s Smackdown was just moved to next week.”

We already reported that Jimmy Uso’s return to SmackDown was pushed back to next week. His return to the blue brand was announced during SmackDown this week. Only time will tell when Roman Reigns returns.
