John Cena’s career in WWE isn’t over yet, and his movie career is still going strong as well. Now, the 16x World Champion has a new trailer for an upcoming film that will likely entice fans in a big way.

A preview trailer for the upcoming film “Freelance” has been unveiled in anticipation of its premiere. The movie features a star-studded cast including John Cena, Alison Brie, Juan Pablo Raba, Alice Eve, Marton Csokas, and Christian Slater. Shot in 2022 with a reported budget of at least $40 million, the film is set to be directed by Pierre Morel, renowned for his work on “Taken.” Audiences can mark their calendars for its release on October 6, 2023.

The studio dropped a synopsis for the plot. It seems that Cena has quite a move ahead of him. The movie also stars Alison Brie and Juan Pablo Raba along with John Cena, who stars in the film.

“Former special forces operative Mason Pettis (John Cena) finds himself trapped in a mundane desk job until he reluctantly accepts a freelance assignment to provide private security for the washed-up journalist, Claire Wellington (Alison Brie), during her interview with the ruthless yet impeccably dressed dictator, Juan Venegas (Juan Pablo Raba). When a military coup erupts just as they are on the cusp of the scoop of a lifetime, this unlikely trio must navigate the jungle and each other’s quirks to ensure their survival and make it out of this perilous situation alive!”

John Cena has one big movie coming out after another. Odds are, that trend is not going to change any time soon. Only time will tell when John Cena can get back in the WWE ring for some real action, but he’s not been hard to find.
