Fans were happy for CM Punk’s return on the debut episode of Collision, as it marked the first time he appeared on AEW television since All Out last year. CM Punk is back as a regular feature, but the drama surrounding him is clearly far from over. Now it appears CM Punk was called an insufferable egomaniac after all the backstage drama he caused recently.

CM Punk is considered to be one of the most divisive pro wrestlers on the planet right now. In fact, Punk might have been responsible for sending non-contracted AEW talent home after last week’s episode of AEW Collision.

Reports of Ryan Nemeth getting sent home as soon as he arrived this week broke out. Nemeth was not the only AEW talent who was sent home with believed connection with CM Punk. His dispute with Nemeth stemmed from very ordinary things as well. Even the likes of AEW Head of Talent Relations Christopher Daniels, and Matt Hardy were also not allowed to attend the tapings.

While speaking on the Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Konnan and Disco Inferno talked about AEW’s backstage drama with CM Punk. Inferno ended up calling Punk an insufferable egomaniac.

“But one guy is a head of talent relations [Christopher Daniels]. That’s the big difference. You can’t let him get punked. And I know that, and I just remember or wanted to say. Disco asked like three or four times. He goes, ‘What did Christopher Daniels do?’ Do you know why he said that? Because Christopher Daniels is easy like Sunday morning, bro. He’s very easy to get along with,” Konnan said.

I can’t imagine Christopher Daniels doing something that Punk doesn’t want him in the building. Punk is an insufferable egomaniac. That’s all this stuff is. The guy whines, doesn’t like criticism, likes to get his way… Bro, the guy is just as fragile as can be when it comes to… look at the way he’s acting. I don’t want him at the show. He’s sending people [home]. I don’t know why they keep using the guy,” Disco Inferno said.

We will have to wait and see what will become of CM Punk and AEW in general, as we head towards the All In event on August 27th.
