AEW has a few injured roster members, and one former AEW Women’s Champion is still out of action after months on the shelf. It seems that AEW once had a plan for Thunder Rosa, but that didn’t happen due to her injury.

It was previously reported that AEW has discussed Jade Cargill’s return to action. That being said, she has also been backstage at Dynamite since her hiatus started.

Thunder Rosa has been around AEW a lot more than Jade Cargill in recent memory, but she’s not competing. Rosa is on the Spanish language commentary team, as she helps call the action for AEW fans all over the world.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter mentioned that AEW had plans for Thunder Rosa to show up and challenge Jade Cargill for her TBS Title. Of course, that didn’t happen, because Thunder Rosa’s back situation hasn’t cleared up.

Thunder Rosa was planned to challenge for the women’s title very quickly after she was cleared given she never lost it in the ring. When she is cleared is still not confirmed. Her back issues ended up being far worse than originally expected

Thunder Rosa did show up on Dynamite a few months ago as she waited in line to speak with Tony Khan about a spot on AEW Collision. Sadly, her medical clearance hasn’t come around yet, but there is still hope.

We’ll keep a close eye on Thunder Rosa, and everything else going on in AEW, right here at Ringside News. Keep checking back for more information, because there is never a shortage of news in All Elite Wrestling.
