Andy Kaufman made an indelible mark in the world of professional wrestling with his controversial feud against WWE Hall Of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler in Memphis wrestling back in 1983.

Andy Kaufman captivated the attention of wrestling fans by challenging women from the audience to impromptu wrestling matches, a tactic that earned him a lot of heat as a heel. Kaufman’s popularity soared, and he was booked for more shows, culminating in a momentous piledriver from Lawler.

According to a report by Variety, Andy Kaufman will be getting his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on August 24th. Naturally, this is a big honor for the later comedian.

Kaufman was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by Jimmy Hart during WrestleMania 39 weekend in Los Angeles. Regardless, fans are certainly happy to know Kaufman will receive this honor and that’s all that matters.
