WWE Starts Booking NXT Heatwave Special

WWE’s NXT brand is far from finished at this point, and they are still stacking special events on the USA Network. In two weeks, the NXT brand is bringing a Heatwave, and we already have a couple big matches for their next special episode.

Ilja Dragunov and Trick Williams had an intense segment in the ring this week during NXT. Williams wanted to make it clear that he’s not a sidekick, and Ilja Dragunov will give him quite a battle at Heatwave.

Also, Wes Lee and Dijak will throw down in a #1 contender’s match next ween. The winner of that match will get a shot at Carmelo Hayes’ NXT Title at Heatwave.

WWE is adding a lot of attention to NXT, as they want to make sure that viewership remains strong for their next set of television rights talks. They also want to beat AEW Dynamite in the ratings.
