Kevin Nash has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the professional wrestling industry, having witnessed numerous changes and evolutions throughout his career. He has competed for several years and has played a role in many iconic moments. That being said, Nash doesn’t mind AEW reusing an infamous Hulk Hogan storyline with CM Punk.

The WWE Hall Of Famer made a name for himself as Diesel in WWE, where he eventually became the World Champion. He then saw great success as part of the nWo in WCW.

CM Punk made headlines when he started using his own spray-painted AEW World Heavyweight Championship, which was a clear reusing of Hulk Hogan spray-painting the WCW World Title the same way.

While speaking on a recent episode of the Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash talked about CM Punk spray-painting his own AEW World Championship. Nash made it clear that e doesn’t mind AEW reusing the angle.

“I didn’t see it, so I don’t have an opinion on it. It seemed to be effective then [25 years ago]. In Phil’s defense, I think you can grab that hold after 25 years.

Which they’ve done, what? Four times now?” Nash asked. “I really don’t have a problem with it. I would be more entailed to think about when Shawn and Razor had the IC belts, and Shawn got suspended and they put the belt on Scott. They had a tournament, Scott won it, then we went to WrestleMania 10 and we had both the belts up there. I mean, it’s straight edge. It’s his gimmick.”

The Second City Saint successfully defended his ‘real’ AEW World Championship against Ricky Starks on last week’s episode of AEW Collision. We’ll have to wait and see what’s next in store for CM Punk.

What are your thoughts on what Kevin Nash said? Do you think AEW is doing the right thing by using this WCW storyline? Let us know in the comments!
