Ricky Starks came out to cut a promo on CM Punk and that turned into a back-and-forth battle of words in the ring. It became apparent that Ricky Starks wanted to challenge CM Punk for his title.

CM Punk then said that Ricky Starks won the last time in their match thanks to a bad referee. He agreed to wrestle Starks again next week, with his title on the line, but they need a special referee.

Then Tony Schiavone was honored to announce that Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat will be on hand next week as special referee in their match. That match will be for CM Punk’s spray painted title.

We will have to see how this turns out. Tony Khan has tried to get Ricky Streamboat in for a while, but they couldn’t make things work out. Next week AEW will finally see Ricky Steamboat in their ring.
