During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer mentioned Kevin Owens’s current situation. It isn’t known how long his break will be, but this is something that WWE has planned for him for a while now, because he’s been working with a rib injury.

Kevin, he’s actually been working through it for awhile, and they’ve been waiting for a time to finish up whatever he’s gonna finish up. Then they were gonna do this angle, something, I don’t know how long, but he’s gonna get a rest. I don’t know what the status of the tag team titles are, I just know it’s a legit injury, and so that’s the basic gist of the story.

We will have to see how long it takes for Kevin Owens to make his way back to the ring. He obviously has a lot of eyes on him as 1/2 of the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Champions. This time, it appears that he will be taking a little bit of a break.

WWE doesn’t have a tag team title match scheduled for SummerSlam yet. It appears that they will not defend those titles at the biggest party of the summer. Hopefully, he will be able to get back to action soon so he can finish his story with Sami Zayn.
