Gunther Doesn’t Consider Roman Reigns As A Dream Opponent

Gunther’s incredible performance in NXT UK was simply just the beginning of his career in WWE. Following a decent run on NXT after that, Gunther was called up to the main roster and has since become a bonafide star there. Now it appears that Gunther doesn’t consider Roman Reigns as a dream opponent.

The Ring General won the WWE Intercontinental Championship in June 2022 and has since defended it several times already. With each win, Gunther’s stock continues to rise and he becomes more and more dominating.

The Intercontinental Champion was drafted to Monday Night RAW during this year’s edition of the WWE Draft and fans wondered whether there will come a time when he finally squares off against Roman Reigns.

While speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Riju Dasgupta, the leader of Imperium made it clear that he doesn’t consider Roman Reigns as a dream opponent.

“I wouldn’t consider Roman as a dream opponent. I think we are two completely different wrestlers. He’s obviously somebody that came up through, first of all his family history, but then he got basically developed or trained in the WWE system and got brought up through that.”

It remains to be seen when The Ring General and the Tribal Chief will cross paths, as it will definitely be a main event-level feud. Perhaps Gunther will be the one to dethrone Roman Reigns once and for all.
