AEW has a few notable injuries on their roster right now, as their stars strive to excel in the ring every time they step between the ropes. Sadly, that means a few acts are paused at this moment, and that includes Top Flight.

Darius Martin is currently paired up with Action Andretti on AEW television, because his brother, Dante Martin, is out of action with an injury as well. It’s been a while since we had any type of update, but that silence was broken during the ROH Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Dante Martin is on his way back to the ring, but his return might not be immediate at this point. After all, he suffered quite a leg injury, and that could change the way he wrestles.

It’s the first word we’ve heard about Dante Martin in forever, Dante Martin is ahead of schedule as far as his recovery goes. I don’t know about, again, how much, that was a brutal injury, and Dante Martin’s big thing is his leaping ability and his speed, that would be a terrible injury for anyone, but for him it’s worse. If he can get back to 90% he could have a great career. It certainly sounds like he’s on his way back, I don’t know soon, but he’s on his way back.

The injury happened in the closing moments of the intense match, as Dante Martin attempted a daring Canadian Destroyer spot off a ladder bridge and through stacked tables placed in the outside area. Unfortunately, the move didn’t go as planned and Dante Martin landed awkwardly, resulting in a painful injury.

We’re hoping for the best, because Top Flight is a team with a ton of potential. Only time will tell what they will be able to do in pro wrestling, but Dante Martin needs to make his return before that can happen.

What’s your take on Top Flight as a team? Are they cursed at this point in AEW? Sound off in the comments to let us know what you think!
