Cody Rhodes was a big part of AEW as they ushered in a pro wrestling revolution in a lot of ways. One of those signature moments included an infamous throne smashing segment, and it seems that Triple H has seen that bit.

During AEW Double or Nothing in 2019, Cody Rhodes made a symbolic statement by smashing Triple H’s throne, leading to speculation about long-lasting animosity between the two parties. However, since Cody’s return to WWE in 2022, there has been no mention of this incident.

While speaking to Sean Sapp of Fightful, Cody Rhodes said that he was more concerned about Triple H seeing some of those Being The Elite segments that dragged The Game and “WWE brainwashing,” but he wasn’t all that worried about the throne smashing bit.

Cody Rhodes revealed that he believes Triple H has seen it, but it hasn’t caused any tension or friction between them. Cody mentioned that he’s certain Triple H has seen it because Triple H occasionally references short lines from obscure online interviews that many people might not notice, suggesting he is aware of the situation. Despite the throne incident, it seems that the relationship between Cody Rhodes and Triple H has remained amicable.

Cody said the thing that he was more concerned about Triple H seeing was the Being The Elite bit about Cody’s exorcism, where he would recite WWE facts and be “brainwashed by WWE.” In the bit, Triple H was referenced as the bad guy. Frankie Kazarian portrayed a character implied to be Triple H, and Cody said he did a great job.

Cody Rhodes’ documentary premieres on Peacock on July 31, and it should be quite a show. WWE fans have waited long enough to see that show go down, and now it appears that they finally got enough footage to tell a proper story about the American Nightmare’s WWE return.
